I recently went to a BareEssentuals masterclass. I have never been a fan of mineral make-up but thought it was worth a try. At the end of the class I was given a goody bag full of treats so I could try out the range.
I have been using this for a few weeks now and am converted. It is great and gives a really natural look. Only problem is the powder format which takes a bit of getting used to.
I highly recommend picking up a starter kit and trying this brand out.

beauty so clean...
Beauty so clean has recently hit the UK...they sell a sanitiser, mist and brush cleaner. If you have ever seen how much bacteria lives on your makeup or got an eye infection you would definately be buying this. At IMATS 2011 London, I was finally able to get my hands on some. Before I bought this product, I either scapped off the top of my product or used Isopropyl (which is v drying on the makeup). I bought a sanitiser mist which removes bacteria and germs on powder-based products: eyeshadows, blushers, pressed powder, bronzers, cream-based products: compact foundation, concealers, cream blush/eyeshadows.
Definately recommended...Every womans handbag should include one of these.

pixi makeup
On my many trips to the MAC store nr Carnaby Street I have walked passed Pixi makeup store. Recently I saw an offer to try a palette for £20 so I thought I night as well try. The staff in the store were very friendly and helpful.
The palette I received is made of cardboard with a mirror on the inside which is always handy when you are out and about. The packaging is quite cute and not too heavy and bulky but I'm not sure if it will last in my handbag. All 24 shadows are shimmery and there is a broad range of colours that should suit most outfits / looks.
I have tested out the shadows and they are have stong pigments and sharp colours. Overall, at the offer price this was a good buy but I am not sure I would pay the full price of £144 for it.

Sleek Divine Good Girl Palette
The latest limited edition eyeshadow palettes from Sleek are the Good Girl and Bad Girl palettes. I have a few of the other palette and like the eyeshadows as they are quite pigmented and are cheap (only £5.99 from Superdrug).Today I picked up the Good Gril palette which has a variety of pink shadows.
My favourtie colours in the palette are the Papaya and the Morello. Have a look at the swatches below.
Left picture (top to bottom) - Lychee, Meringue, Candy Floss, Lollipop, Pink Punch, Cupcake
Right picture (top to bottom) - Strawberry Sorbet, Pink Grapefruit, Peach Melba, Papaya, Raspberry Coulis, Morello

adesign brushes

Even though I am a big fan of MAC makeup brushes I discovered adesign brushes at the IMATS (makeup artist show) last January.
I bought a couple of different sets and have had no trouble with any of them. I have not had any trouble with shedding or the handles. They are good quality, well made brushes which should last or a very long time.
They have recently released some new duo fibre brushes which I hope to get my hands on at the next IMATS show in Jan. Unfortnuately the brushes are available online in the US so with shipping these will be slightly more expensive to get to the UK.
Get your hands on some brushes if you get a chance.
